First Baptist Jr. Academy hosted the Conference and it was a wonderful success.

Ron Mohl of Lakeshore Learning, provided a lively presentation on "Science Safari" and Pat Scorzetti with Becker School Supplies provided an opportunity to be creative with blocks with his presentation "Thinking Outside the Blocks."

Commander Maddox presented information describing various types of critical incidents, ideas to prepare for incidents (example: Crisis Response Box), and School Shooter Quick Reference Guide.

The Players Center for Child Health @ Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Amy Buggle described the services offered by DLC Nurse and Learn, overview of types of disabilities commonly seen in children and how to look for the signs that help to determine diagnoses.  Also discussed best practices to individualizes lesson plans. Rebecca Hare discussed the variety of free services and curricula offered by the Players Center for Child Health @ Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  Three curricula are Germaine the Germ Thing, Teddy Bear Clinic and I Can Eat a Rainbow.

Padma Rajan shared information from the Provider Focus Groups conducted July-September 2012. Also, reviewed a draft of the new Guiding Stars of Duval 2.0.
