1a 3rd Qtr 2015 – 2017 1a 85% of families who agreed to be part of the family advisory leadership council attend 100% of the leadership council meetings each year after start-up.
1a.(1) increase membership in council each year by 10%.
1a.(2) Spring of 2017, 60% of council participants rate their experience valuable and useful.

Because ELC received a pilot grant to start up Family Advisory Councils in child care programs we felt it would be a duplication of services to continue an ELC Leadership council at this time. These family councils will be developed in child care programs in hopes to promoting parent/center decision making and networking opportunities for parents. During 5/2014-3/2015 6 FLN meetings were held. The average attendance was 8 parents.
  1b Create and communicate a one-stop resource for the Jacksonville community around early learning using the new website design

  1c Expand the UW Born Learning program to more families

1st Quarter 2014 there were 99 classes that 224 SR families attended.
2nd Quarter 2014 there were 135 classes that 234 SR families attended.
3rd Quarter 2015 there were 102 classes that 251 SR families attended.
4th Quarter 2015 there were 48 classes that 72 SR families attended.
  1d Develop a robust early childhood component for 0-5 to compliment DCPS Parent Academy

1d First raining by 2nd Qtr 2014 1d 90% of the families attending the Parent Academy trainings will rate the trainings as useful using the Born Learning evaluation survey. JDaniels@elcduval.org

ELC began providing DCPS with Born Learning classes for parents with children age 0-5 in 9/2014. In the 2014-2015 fiscal year 15 classes were held. 100% of the class evaluations indicated the usefulness of the class.
  1e Host family town hall meetings in the community with our provider partners 1e 1st Qtr 2014 and on going 1e 80% of the Attendees surveyed at town hall meetings will report satisfaction on the evaluation survey. 10% will indicate a willingness to participate in future ELC meetings.

Quarter 1 2014 3 Town Halls were held. 53 parents attended. 30 would be willing to attend a future meeting.
Quarter 2 2014 5 Town Halls were held. 80 parents attended. 13 would be willing to attend a future meeting.
Quarter 3 2015 5 Town Halls were held. 75 parents attended. 13 would be willing to attend a future meeting.
A satisfaction survey was not distributed at Town Hall meetings.

We did not receive funding from the family engagement pilot grant for a family event, and will not be to be able to complete this action step.
  1g Family Leadership Network Advocacy Training.
Action Steps

During the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 program years of the Family Engagement Pilot grant we plan to hold advocacy training for interested parents who are part of a Family Advisory Network at child care programs involved in the pilot.
