Part 1 and Part 2 can be taken separately or together. There are not requirements to attend both. 

This is an intermediate training. This training will offer opportunities for providers to utilize new information and apply it to their environment. Some elements of this training may be learning facts and applying them to your classroom. Providers may be encouraged to evaluate their practice in the classroom to make improvements related to the content. 

This is a 1-session ONLINE PILOT training.  This online training is on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. thru ZOOM.

You cannot take this class on your cell phone. 

  • You must have access to a reliable internet connection, a computer or a tablet with a webcam and a microphone.
  • You must have a working email address for yourself and be able to check your email regularly.
  • You cannot use the same email as a coworker or friend who is taking this class.
  • You cannot share computer equipment. Each person is required to have their own email address and their own computer or tablet to access the training. A microphone is required for discussion in this training.

This training was written using the ADDIE training model.  The learning objectives for this training are:

    1. Identify and apply strategies for teaching and reinforcing rules with young children
    2. Discuss the importance of communicating rules and behavior expectations with families.

This training is 100% ONLINE. Training content will be taught using lecture, small group work and discussion.

Participants will be required to complete Pre and Post Surveys, an Implementation Plan (IP) and an Overall Training Evaluation.

AT LEAST 0.3 IACET CEUs will be awarded for this 1-session online PILOT training.  Participants must be on time for this online training. If you attempt to login to the online training 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will be denied access. The training will be closed.

In order to receive IACET CEU credit for the training you must be present for 100% of the session, actively participate, satisfactorily complete the Implementation Plan (IP) and submit the IP by the deadline. This is a “pilot” training – additional CEUs may be awarded based on the amount of time spent completing assignments or Implementation Plans.

This training is designed for Infant Teachers, Toddler Teachers, Preschool Teachers, Directors and Family Child Care Home Providers.
