A pediatrician is medical doctor who manages the physical, behavioral, and mental health of children from birth until age 21. Pediatricians are trained to diagnose and treat a broad range of childhood illnesses from minor health problems to serious diseases; as well as refer and screen for developmental delays and issues.
Women need accurate, objective data to make fully informed choices about birth settings and providers. The national birth center is dedicated to ensuring public access to quality of care information specifically related to maternity care providers and institutions.
