Get Involved with My Child’s Education

Research shows that family engagement increases children’s motivation, reduces behavioral problems, and improves social-emotional development. Family engagement fosters school readiness school skills in young children, such as impulse control, attention, memory, and planning skills. Further, family engagement promotes children’s school success and prepares them for life.

The Early Learning Coalition of Duval, in partnership with Duval County Public Schools, will host online Kindergarten Readiness workshops for families with children graduating from VPK in 2023. Click here to learn more and register for one of the workshops being held on March 30 or May 18. Every family will receive a free learning kit and a children’s book about kindergarten!
