ONLINE TRAINING- Engaging Preschoolers with Math

This is a 2-session ONLINE training.  This online training is on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. AND Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. thru ZOOM.

You will receive a reminder email 3-5 days before the training date that will include a ZOOM link to access the online

training.

You cannot take this class on your cell phone. 

You must have access to a reliable internet connection, a computer or a tablet with a webcam and a microphone.

You must have a working email address for yourself and be able check your email regularly.

You cannot use the same email as a coworker or friend who is taking this class.

You cannot share computer equipment. Each person is required to have their own email address and their own computer or tablet to access the training.

This training was written using the ADDIE training model. The learning objectives for this training are:

(1) Participants will identify the six mathematical components of the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards for preschoolers.

(2) Examine different strategies to promote children’s development of mathematical understanding.

This training is 100% ONLINE. Training content will be taught using lecture, small group work and discussion.

Participants will be required to complete Pre and Post Surveys, an Implementation Plan (IP) and an Overall Training Evaluation.

.6 IACET CEUs will be awarded for this 2-session online training. Participants must be on time for this online training. If you attempt to login to the online training 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will be denied access. The training will be closed.

To receive IACET CEU credit for the training you must be present for 100% of the session, actively participate, satisfactorily complete the Implementation Plan (IP) and submit the IP by the deadline.

You cannot take this class on your cell phone.

This training is designed for Preschool Teachers, Family Child Care Providers, Directors and Owners.

To complete the implementation plan you must have access to children ages 3 – 5.
