ONLINE TRAINING – Understanding and Supporting Children’s Milestones 

This is an intermediate training. This training will offer opportunities for providers to utilize new information and apply it to their environment. Some elements of this training may be learning facts and applying them to your classroom. Providers may be encouraged to evaluate their practice in the classroom to make improvements related to the content. 

This is a 1-session ONLINE training.  This online training is on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. thru ZOOM.

You will receive a reminder email 3-5 days before the training date that will include a ZOOM link to access the online training.

You cannot take this class on your cell phone. 

  • You must have access to a reliable internet connection, a computer or a tablet with a webcam and a microphone.
  • You must have a working email address for yourself and be able check your email regularly.
  • You cannot use the same email as a coworker or friend who is taking this class.
  • You cannot share computer equipment. Each person is required to have their own email address and their own computer or tablet to access the training.

This training was written using the ADDIE training model.  The learning objectives for this training are:

  1. Identify key developmental milestones across four domains (physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional) from birth to age 5.
  2. Recognize and determine signs of potential developmental delays ("red flags") and explain when and how to refer children for additional support. 

This training is 100% ONLINE. Training content will be taught using lecture, small group work and discussion.

Participants will be required to complete Pre and Post Surveys, an Implementation Plan (IP) and an Overall Training Evaluation.

At least 0.3 IACET CEUs will be awarded for this 1-session online training.  The pilot training on October 23, 2025 will determine the number of CEUs for this course. Participants must be on time for this online training. If you attempt to login to the online training 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will be denied access. The training will be closed.
