The Early Learning Coalition of Duval is accredited as an International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) provider. To register for IACET trainings, click on the yellow events below.

ONLINE TRAINING Big Feelings, Little Learners: Anger Management and Problem Solving

This is a 1-session ONLINE PILOT training.  This online training is on Tuesday, December 8, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. thru ZOOM.

This is a beginner training. Beginner trainings will cover beginner level elements of childcare and development. This training is ideal for new teachers or providers who want a refresher on child development elements or basics in childcare. Time will be spent learning facts and grasping the meaning of common terms in child development. 

You will receive a reminder email 5 days before the training date that will include a ZOOM link to access the online

training. Another reminder will be sent at 10am on the day of the training or 10am on Friday for Saturday trainings.

You cannot take this class on your cell phone. 

You must have access to a reliable internet connection, a computer or a tablet with a webcam and a microphone.

You must have a working email address for yourself and be able check your email regularly.

You cannot use the same email as a coworker or friend who is taking this class.

You cannot share computer equipment. Each person is required to have their own email address and their own computer or tablet to access the training. Microphone is required for discussion in this training.

This training was written using the ADDIE training model.  The learning outcomes for this training are: (1) Participants will define emotional literacy and identify activities that build children’s  emotional vocabulary to support healthy emotional expression; and (2) Participants will use CLASS based strategies to teach problem solving skills support young children in managing anger in resolving conflicts.

This training is 100% ONLINE. Training content will be taught using CoP (Communities of Practice) protocols, lecture, small group work and discussion. Participants will be required to complete Pre and Post Surveys, an Implementation Plan (IP) and an Overall Training Evaluation.

At least .3 IACET CEUs will be awarded for this 1-session PILOT online training.  Participants must be on time for this online training. If you attempt to login to the online training 7 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will be denied access. The training will be closed.

 

To receive IACET CEU credit for the training you must be present for 100% of the session, actively participate, satisfactorily complete the Implementation Plan (IP) and submit the IP by the deadline. This is a “pilot” training –additional CEUs may be awarded based on the amount of time spent completing assignments or Implementation Plans.

This training is designed for Infant Teachers and Family Child Care Home Providers.
